I quite enjoy this series of minimal and pop color for architectural structures. This series was created by Ali Sahba who wanted to take the mimialistic approach with colors and show Hamburg a German city appear in a new and original way. To see more of his work and other projects check him out on Behance.
Looking to take some professional looking night sky pictures, then this camera is for you. The Tiny1 Astronomy Camera (TBA) pairs a sensor that's extremely good in low-light with advanced image processing to create striking images of stars, whole constellations, and planets in far less time than a traditional DSLR. It can also take time-lapse videos in 2.5K resolution, and if you're not sure what to shoot, it can show you up-to-date star charts right in live preview mode. The Tiny1 is currently in development and will be available for crowdfunding at the end of the year.
These images caught my attention today and are definitely worth checking out. The Project Apollo Archive is a collection of photos onFlickr, which are amazing and inspiring to go through - from Apollo 7 to 17. So start clicking through and find your space adventure. Below are few of my favorite so far.
There is always someone looking for something new and creative and this is one of them. Recently is an app/service for iPhones that helps group and print your photos for only $9 a month.
Snapping great photos with your iPhone is the easy part. Getting those photos grouped and printed is not. This combination app and service automatically curates 100 of your most recent photos, then has you upload them once a month. When they're received, they're printed into a customized, high-quality 7" x 10" magazine with the date displayed prominently for easy sorting. You can use as few as 50 photos to make a magazine, or if you're a prolific shooter, use the simple editing tools to decide what goes in and what stays out. It's one of the easiest ways to get your latest photos in the palms of your hands. Download the Recently App
I have got to say that I'm digging these images by Sacha Goldberger. What if all these superhero's and villain's were born in the sixteenth century. How would they look? Well, now we know, Sacha has taken science fiction and combined it with history. Check out the images below or read more about Sacha Elizabethan Sci-fi characters.
Tom Atkinson, a photographer, has put together and documented the personal gear carried by British solders from 1066 to 2014. You can see all the images and documentation on telegraph.co.uk.
I enjoy these types of photography, not only for the unique items, but also for the organization and layout of each item. It's the OSD in me. Check out more works by Tom on his site.
Visual Candy for the day. Enjoy the aerialscapes of German photographer, Jakob Wagner. I'm a sucker for visual scapes of ariel parts of the world that I might not never see. He does a great job on his enhanced textures and shadow detail, while still make the images clean and natural. I recommend checking out more of his portfolio.
This printer works with iOS and Android devices and makes 3″ x 4″ photographs. The LifePrint is a WiFi and Bluetooth photo printer for your phone, which allows anyone with either a WiFi or 3G and up connection to snap a photo, and then beam it through the LifePrint App to the device itself, which pops out a hard copy at home. Even if home is 10,000 miles away. In about 60 seconds, the printer can receive and output any photo taken from anywhere in the world. Watch the video below, for its price, pledge at least $99 on Kickstarter.
I stumbled upon Reuben Wu and his photography and just like his work in Ladytron, I was impressed. His images let you get lost in the world that we might not always get a chance to see. Also as you can see from the first image he also did the latest photography session with Tycho.
About Reuben Wu
"I am a freelance photographer, musician, visual artist and audiovisual director.
My background is in design and music. During my several years in industrial design, I co-founded the electronic group Ladytron in 1999 and subsequently co-wrote and produced five studio albums. My entry into photography was encouraged by an extensive international touring schedule where I was able to document the interesting locations we visited."
Check out all of his work on Behance or his website. I know I will be.
Artist Qi Wei Fong in his last series called Time is a Dimension depicted layered collages of landscapes and cityscapes photographed over 2-4 hour period. Now he has taken this collage type photography to a new project called Time in Motion. The new photos, shot in locations around China, Indonesia, and Bali show the change in light at sunrise or sunset through angular rays and concentric circles that shimmer as time passes. You can see more from the series on his website.
This is an ongoing collaboration between Russian photographer Alexander Knokhlov and make-up artist Valeriya Kutsan. In this collection, faces of models are transformed into two dimensional paintings and design using face paint. The first series of black and white photos titled Weird Beautywere released last year, and the duo brought on digital artist Veronica Ershova who helped retouch a new collection of images inspired by poster art titled 2D or not 2D. These new color images seem to have more digital assistance but they're still stunning to look at. See more here.
