Tanlines - Mix Emotions Album


What can I say other than Tanlines new debut album Mixed Emotions arrived just in time for Spring/Summer. This album is an instant day brightener with it's nostalgic 80's synth-spiration and dance feel grooves. This electronic-pop Brooklyn duo Eric Emm and Jesse Cohen combined with the Afro-pop and Tropicalia detailing gives songs like "All of Me" and "Real Life" a nice rhythmic feel to get your body swaying. Eric Emm and his soulful yet relaxing voice reminds me a little bit of Vampire Weekend with a little bit of Cut Copy giving each track just the right amount of balance.

This album is going to get me through some great beach days and long summer drives with the window down.  Check out the videos below.
