Jesper Brask: Hald Strand Summer Home
Architect Jesper Brask and his family spent time in this woodsy acre of land in North Zealand, Denmark to know everything about this site before building there summer home. The piney area where the house was to be built was not neglected as it was used in the creation of this summerhouse. This gateway also used steel, bricks, and glass for the dramatic sloping floor to ceiling windows and glass doors that brings the woods almost inside. At the core of the open-plan home is the towering chimney which holds three fireplaces, a conventional oven, and a pizza oven. That's pretty sweet. What do you think of this summer home?
