The Omoshiro Block (or “fun block”) is made with laser-cutting technology and contains hidden objects and scenes that only become visible as the paper is used. The blocks are composed of over 100 sheets of paper and each sheet is different from the next in the same way that individual moments stack up together to form a memory. The emerge almost like an excavated treasure from an archaeological dig, some of the more elaborate versions feature notable Japanese architecture like Kyoto’s Kiyomizudera Temple and Tokyo Tower.
