Tycho has just released a new track called "Division" and I couldn't be happier. Tycho tweeted earlier this year that he would like to have a new album out by 2016 and it seems this might come true. On July 24th 2010, thousands of people around the world uploaded videos of their lives to YouTube to take part in Life in a Day. It's a historic cinematic experiment to create a documentary film about a single day on earth. It's also like a documentary that serves as a time capsule to show the future generations what it was like to be alive on July 24, 2010.
The film was directed by Oscar winner Kevin Macdonald who wowed audiences at the Sundance, Berlin and SXSW film festivals and during its YouTube world premiere in January. This summer this film will be coming to a movie theater near you. I'm personally interested in seeing this film to see what 80,000 clips and more than 4500 hours of footage compressed into 90 minutes is like for one single day on earth in 2010.
BMW has release some documentaries dedicated to crafting original, thought-provoking and entertaining content. These films aim to take you to a place you never truly been: the future. In this four-part documentary series they use some of the most influential scientist, academics, pioneers, and entrepreneurs of our time to give a picture of the culture technology, cities and our past and how the present was shaped relative to the future of mobility. These are dedicated in getting users actively involved in the ever-evolving conversation of the future of mobility. The first 2 chapters are up at the Activate The Future and the final two remaining chapters will come out later this month. I have also added the first two chapters below.
