It has been a while since a new Samsung Galaxy Active watch has been announced. Now we have a brand new Active 2 Samsung Galaxy Watch ($279). It has a handsome case in either aluminum or stainless steel, measuring 44 mm or 40 mm. The digital bezel rotates for navigation within the watch's One UI, displayed on the round Super AMOLED screen. It tracks more than 39 workouts, with seven automatically activated, has an updated Running Coach, tracks your stress levels in real-time, and, through integration with Calm, provides access to guided meditation programs and sleep analysis. You also get a free portable wireless charge and pre-orders start on 09/06/19.
The Ford Motor Company has announced plans to implement Smart Mobility Plan. The corporation has unveiled the MoDe:Flex concept an eBike that provides hands-free, turn-by-turn navigation while tracking your heart rate. It also bring all the real-time data to your smartwatch as well.
Connecting to users' smartphones by utilizing the MoDe:Link app, the MoDe:Flex provides up to the minute information pertaining to navigation, weather, time and traffic, among other features.
A user with a smartwatch can then activate a feature such as "no sweat" mode, which, based on the rider's heart rate, can increase electric pedal assist to ensure a rider does not break a sweat. So, for those bike riders who have the issue of showing up to drenched in sweat, there's an app for that.
There is even more to this eBike. Ford also announced that the wearable device comes with safety notifications. Like when your about to hit a pothole. The handlebars will trigger a vibration and the smartwatch will beep as a warning signal. So that your face doesn't get notified by the pavement.
Check out the video below for more information. It will get you pumped about this eBike!

Someone asked me the other day if there would be a time when watches would no longer be worn. In the era of technology it's easier to just look at your phone. However, I don't think that watches will lose their purpose anytime soon. Watches are not only used to tell time but also to accessorize your style.
This fall if you're looking for a watch that is not only stylish but puts another twist on telling time to give it's unique style, then the Nooka - ZAZ watch is for you. The ZAZ model ($350) doesn't show the time like any other watch, instead of using numbers like on digital watches. It uses 24 bars to indicate hours and 60 bars for the minutes, filling each one according to the specific time over a transparent screen, which gives the illusion of displaying the bars right over your arm. So if you're looking for something different and futuristic then this watch is definitely for you. The watch comes in three different versions; they have it in black and white with leather bands or steel mesh ones.

We all want watches that are stylishly designed but we still need them to function properly. Let me introduce the Mutewatch ($259), a simple and intuitive watch that comes in three different colors. Just by tapping the flat surface the touch screen becomes active and lights up, then from there swipe through the functions - clock, alarm and timer. You can set the time for your alarm by tapping directly on the digits — tap on the top of the digit for a higher number or on the bottom of the digit for a lower one. When you want to erase an alarm, simply pinch the touch screen. It's that simple. The Mutewatch also features a built-in motion sensor that registers your movement and automatically adjusts the strength of the vibrations for your notifications. So whether you're sleeping, or on stage giving a presentation the Mutewatch will keep you up to date.

Talk about a different way to use sustainability. LA based WeWood has a line of wooden watches ($119) that have been worn by famous wrists as Ke$ha and APL of the Black Eyed Peas. Their beautiful wooden sustainable watches demonstrate that being eco-friendly has no barriers. These natural watches are available in two classic designs: Date and Chrono, and come in four different types of sustainable wood. (Maple, Ebony, Guaiaco and Red Wing Celtis).
The beautifully carved wood not only looks super stylish, it is feather-light and silky-smooth. This organic matter is recyclable, biodegradable and takes less CO2 to produce, than materials traditionally used in watch production, such as stainless-steel, platinum and gold. Each watch is hypo-allergenic, free from toxic chemicals and has a traditional Miyota movement.
WeWood also plants a tree for every watch that is purchased. They've teamed up with American Forests, a not for profit conservation organization, which is dedicated to restoring eco-systems that have been damaged by natural or human cases.

Johan Loekito and Samsung worked on a concept project to make sure that you don't lose your mobile phone ever again. Cause I'm sure in this day and age we don't watch our phones like hawks. It's called Samsung Proxima and it's a concept that involves a cellphone with a wristband acting like a docking station. This watch also has a proximity sensor on board making the wristband emit a tone or vibrate if the phone is too far from it. This also helps the user find the device with a single button press. The Proxima also is able to detect other users with the same phone in your area and lets you contact them. I'm sure that with something like this you can change the settings to turn this feature off if you wanted. I think the design on this concept is slick but for the other uses I'm not really sold on it. What do you think of this concept design?
