I don't know how to pronounce this visitor center but it is definitely eye catching in design. It's located in the eastern part of the national park that surrounds Europe's largest glacier. The
Snaefellsstofa building is shaped in an X design and was designed by
Arkis. The materials are as usual concrete and beautiful untreated wood. I'm a sucker for these types of materials. If I'm ever in Europe I would surely visit this visitor center.
Location: Skriðuklaustur, Iceland

Lumadessa is a little art and design label by
Josh Brill. Focusing on limited edition art prints and design products, that implement premium materials and production methods. Resulting in timeless works with longer display lives. In these limited edition prints is his
Flora Fauna Birds Edition which is full of different styles of birds. The Flora Fauna collection is a cataloging of the design identities of plants and animals from around the world. Examining the visual character differences and similarities of species. A field guide of discovery, beginning with birds. For each of these prints that are sold 5% of the profits are donated to Animal and Environmental charities which I think is a great idea. Here are a few of the designs. If you want to see more than head on over to his
website.

This home was designed as a weekend getaway for Merrill Wright, a Seattle resident, by
Tom Kundig of
Olson Kundig Architects. Tom is known for houses that are both beautiful and noteworthy. This is one of these homes which was built on a 15-acre site in San Juan Islands which is off Washington State. The home is 2,200 sq ft with a sod roof and tall steel framed windows. It's has a main space of 61 feet long and 12 feet high, with a large kitchen at the back of the home and a living and dining area overlooking the water in the front of the home.
The location of the home is beautiful with the view in the front. The use of the rocks in the surrounding area's also gives texture and style to this concrete and glass home. The entrance to the home alone which is cut into the rock gives it a cool and warm feeling and style. One of my favorite things about this home is the terrace which has an outdoor fireplace and a window wall that pivots opens like a door.

Greg Gillis, the man behind
Girl Talk, has released his new album
All Day. Which has been the buzz on
Twitter. The reason for that is because Girl Talk is known for his success of mashing up independently successful artists into a solid track and on top of that he is giving away his album for
FREE.
This is his fifth album, featuring 12 tracks with 372 overlapping samples of hit songs. If you want to check out the tracks that have been sample than click
here. Girl Talk was even kind enough to give the list of the sampled tracks. He does ask though that we listen to this album as a whole, rather than bit by bit. For sake of making things easier, however, he has been kind enough to break it down into more manageable pieces. This is a must have album. It will have you rocking all the way through.
