Dovecote Records is a record label that I have been following for quite a while now. They're also no stranger to The Collective Loop. A number of the artists like Hard Mix, Jonquil, and Wise Blood have all been talked about or have found themselves on the monthly Playlists. So today, I wanted to spread the word and share that Dovecote has just released a Fall Ziptape with 15 FREE mp3's of their artist lineup. In order to get your free download you'll have to "like" them on Facebook. I think that is a great trade off and I don't think you will be disappointed. Plus, they have a funny sense of humor over at Dovecote. Find out more about the artist and the label here.
I will be playing again at The Hookah Lounge
in Clearwater on September 17th from 10pm - 2am. You should come on out
and hear some good ambient/indie/dubstep for the evening while you enjoy
your delicious hookah. They have 65 different flavors of Shisha
for the picking. It's $15.00 bucks for unlimited and $8.00 for a
single. If you haven’t been, it's well worth checking out. See you
there!

A classic has been brought back and that is the Polaroid SX-70. It was the very first folding SLR and the first camera to take integral instant film, only made up until 1977. This limited edition Polaroid SX-70 isn't a modern remake of the classic, it is the classic, restored so it works just as well as it did back in the early 70's.
In being that it's a classic and it's a limited edition be prepared to pay $300 bucks for this baby. Currently, the site Photojojo is already out of stock but it looks like they will be shipping more in mid October. In the mean time you can just use Instragram, but its got nothing on this camera.

A Japanese artist Akinobu Izumi created these miniature paper sculptures and puts them into miniature bottles. Each bottle is only 0.9 inch long and 0.5 inch high. These professional architectural models are done with skill and free time.
I would assume it takes some free time to create these small sculptures. If your interested you can purchase them over at Akinobu Etsy store for around $23 - $44 dollars.

Australia-based artist Ghostpatrol has created these interesting pencil set illustrations with the use of many pencils. He has transformed the pencil from tools to a canvas in a playful art that combines sculpture with illustration. Neatly lining up wooden pencils whose cores have been shaven down to form a blank surface for twee portraits of young'uns and frolicking woodland creatures, his collection evokes innocence and childhood nostalgia in both form and content. You can see the entire series of over 60 illustrations here.

A Different Way to Use Pencils
I haven't written about a new phone in a while. It seems that they're all the same just with a couple of difference specifications, however, that doesn't mean that a few differences can't make a big difference. The Samsung Galaxy Note (TBA) is one of those phones. This phone is equipped with the world’s first 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED Display (WXGA 1280×800, 285ppi). It sports a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera with LED flash, 2MP camera on the front, full HD video recording / playback support for MPEG4, DivX, Xvid and more. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, optional NFC, A-GPS, microSD card slot and a 2,500mAh battery.
It also has an old school feature of the stylus with a new and improved process. What Samsung calls the S Pen which is a digital pen that is very accurate and produces thin lines without bleeding, which can make you replace the notepad you always bring with you.

Linda Dong, Akshday Udiavar and Albert Chong designed an eco-friendly and stylish Compost Lunch Bag. It provides a hip and convenient way of disposing of food. The goal was to encourage people to compost the leftovers of their lunches in order to address the issue of food waste. Food waste is a huge economic and energy exhaustion, but it also harms the environment with methane gases when disposed in landfills.
Their solution was to design a lunch bag that could help with this issue of food waste. The lunch bag contains a biodegradable insert where scraps can be disposed. The scraps can be composted right away or stored until the user gets home. The design is not only stylish but when the materials were being considered they want it to be environmentally friendly just as much as it looks good.
This looks to be like a lunch bag that I would definitely rock out. So to the creators of this lunch bag. If you need a reviewer for your lunch bag. I'm your man!

The home under the trees was a property where 90% was covered by Aukerlands native Pohutukawa trees. Herbst the architects behind this home in New Zeland had a challenge when it came to tackling the issue of the tree coverage. "In order for the home to exist it would require the destruction of a large number of mature trees. To do this we looked to the trees themselves to give us the cues that we needed" the two architects explained.
Herbst separated the house into private and public components. The private functions of the bedrooms and garage are housed in two towers which are construed as freshly sawn stumps of the trees that were removed. The use of black/brown stained rough sawn irregular battens on the exterior of the home make for an illusion with the interior to make it almost look carved out. This is a beautiful home where the interior and exterior colors work together to give the home a comfortable and contemporary feel to it. The Pohutukawa home is designed to be the perfect get away. A secluded home to give you a chance to reconnect with nature.
