Atelier Olschinsky first caught my attention with his photography of the 1000km series, but then I stumbled upon his website. There, I found more inspiration and great work from Atelier, especially his Legendary Cities poster set. It was one of those finds that I just found intricate and well designed. The detail that was put into these posters is amazing and each city represent a comic style city. He also has two other series Cities II and Cities III that are worth checking out as well.
What is the browsing only project? It's a project that focuses on the unloved books of the world, ones that forever sit on the shelves and go unsold. These books were collected from various bookstores and designers were invited to use them as canvases to express their creativity. This catalogue features both series one & two of the project and the 45 designers that contributed and it shows the "before & after" results as well.
There are only 300 copies that were printed and circulated around the world's good bookstores, shops and design studios just for people to browse. The catalogue will only stay for a short period of time before it's collected and passed on to another location. Condition of the catalogues and the places they been are document and can be found here.

This home with its impressive nature views and its remarkable geography can only have an opened viewed home to take in the surroundings. It's located in Sao Francisco Xavier, Brazil and is in a remote location with seas of mountains with deep valleys, flowing waterfalls and rivers. The home is long, narrow and has a transparent facade facing the surroundings and the valley. It has 4 suites, a kitchen, living room and a veranda. Almost all the ambiances are facing out into nature.
It's a cozy space that promotes openness, but also protected space. I would enjoy staying at a home like this with its amazing views. The other thing that catches my eye is the wood colors that were used for this home. It blends well with its surrounding and gives the home a more warm and safe feeling.

This is just astonishing to see such a clear and vivid view of the earth from space. This time lapse sequence of photographs were taken with a special low-light 4k camera by the crew of the expedition 28 & 29 on board the International Space Station from August to October, 2011. It's astonishing how many colors the earth puts off and it's also amazing how many lights, light up the night sky.

Have you ever wondered what you would do if the internet went down? I know I would probably do more than half of the suggested approaches suggested in the poster below. So if you're ever in a pickle with what to do when your internet goes down. Look no further than this poster created by Pleated Jeans. Although, I think they could have added "surf the internet on your phone", but that would have made all the suggestions useless.

The dance crazy posters below were created by Amy Rodchester for the Newcastle Festival of Dance. I was quite intrigued with Amy's choice of visualization with her design. She describes her ideas and elements on her site and this is what she had to say:
The design of the posters visualise any pair of feet in any pair of shoes being able to dance and aims to encourage people to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. The 3D element of the posters engages and intrigues viewers. Each poster targets a different generation, inspiring children to dance, encouraging youths to be creative, motivating adults to continue exercise and reminding the elderly of their time in the old dance halls. If you want to check out more of Amy's work you can do so here.

In the age of digital, to-do list apps have been a blessing in disguise, but let me show you another treasure for those hand list makers out there. Ryan McGinness has just published this unique to-do list calendar for 2012. It's the perfect resource for any artist, designer, or dedicated list-maker to have on his or her own desk. The To-Do List Calendar ($31.00) features a lightly gridded space on each page, which also features a unique drawing of one of McGinness signature symbols. The entire calendar is printed in one color 100% black and comes in a minimal and slick package.

I know a lot of you out there play Angry Birds, it's an addictive game. I know I have killed some hours playing that game. Have you ever wondered though, what they would look like in real life? Mohamed Raoof, the creator of this series shows us just how the characters from Angry Birds would look if they were real. To achieve this effect, he manipulated photographs of real birds into the "Angry Birds".
