Normally, I would be posting more spring and summer type photography, but Jakob's Winterscape series was one I couldn't pass up. In this series he photographs images from Greeleand and North America of the cold wonderlands of winter. He captures the dull and emptiness which is winter and it gives the images as not an aerial photo, but as an abstract geometrically ordered piece of art. You can check out the rest of the series on Behance.
Twenty rooms on twenty square meters located in Mexico wine country, Baja California. These stylish but small residential boxes surround a countryside that is largely unaffected by their presents. Architect Studio Gracia designed these small hotels as a way to not interfere directly with the land, as part of the philosophy of respecting nature.

Animals are fascinating creatures and Brooklyn based artist George Boorujy has captured that with ink. George has created these stunning paintings that have such detail that they could almost be real. His new series, Blood Memory, opened up at P.P.O.W Gallery in New York on March 15th. If you live in New York, I would highly advise to check it out.

Stunning Animals Painted in Ink by George Boorujy
Keaton Henson's music has a direct and powerful way of tugging firmly at your heart strings. In his video "Small Hands", he directs a question that I'm sure we've all wonder at one point: is love worth the pain of loss. His choice to use woodland creatures shows that even woodland creatures need love even if they do look like characters from Fantastic Mr. Fox.
Directed by Joseph Mann, he uses a autumnal forest setting with a combination of stop-motion animals that at first look like loving animal couples and slowly with the lyrics of Keaton, thing start to dramatically take a wrong turn. It's weird to think that puppet animals can cause you to shed a tear, well be prepared.
"Small Hands" is taken from Keaton's debut album Dear which will be re-released worldwide on April 2nd following a rush of interest in his music style. You can pre-order the album here.

Tale of Loss: Keaton Henson - Small Hands Video
What an elegant turntable with its precision engineering, designed by AMG (Analog Manufaktur Germany) and their first every "V12" turntable. The AMG turntable line was created by a group of audio industry experts to advance the art of vinyl playback. Here is what they said about the design:
Werner Roeschlau, designer and driving force behind AMG, works with his son and other master machinists at their bespoke multi-story Bavarian factory located north of Munich. All machining is done in house, combining the latest Computer Aided Design and CNC machines with “classic analog” tools including custom lathes and drill presses. Their factory has been manufacturing key, precision parts for some of the world's most highly regarded turntables for over a decade. This expertise in the design and manufacture of turntables led to the AMG line, premiering with the Viella 12.Such a beautiful turntable that would be for sure a talking point in my home; not sure of the price but I'm sure that it would be a fast seller. Find more info about the turntable here

I love seeing double exposures and recently I came across this German photographer Florian Imgrund. He captured all these images on a 6x6 film camera. I enjoy the fact that he is capturing these images in a non-digital way and finding ways to utilize an old analog idea of capturing images. Check out more of his work on his Flickr.

A friend of mine on Facebook shot this artist over to me and I couldn't help but to do a post about it. Tom Whalen is the creator of these contemporary posters. He has given some of the classic cartoons a new modern feel in this posters series. Even though, Tom has been working on this series for over a year they're currently selling like hot cakes by the Austin-based movie poster publisher Mondo. They can't keep this series in stock. Their basically being sold as soon as they are being made available. Check out more of Tom's work.

Justin Mezzell Illustrations have such an inspiring geometrical landscape with a nice touch of muted color schemes. The detail in each one of these illustrations are just fantastic and well placed. You want to get lost in these images. I have only placed a few and I would encourage you to check out more of his work.

I haven't done a camera post in a while and this Canon EOS 5D Mark III is worthy. The Canon EOS 5D Mark III ($3,500) is an all new 22.3 megapixel full-frame sensor that delivers amazing images up to ISO 102,400, and it's augmented by the new DIGIC 5+ processor that does 6 fps shooting and a 61-point AF system. It also now comes with 1080p video recording, a built-in HDR mode and a beautiful magnesium alloy body with a stainless steel mount. This camera will not only make you look like a pimp but it will make your pictures also look like a pimp.
