Lucas Simoes work is a combination of both geometric and organic shapes that are overlaid to create curious patterns.  In this series he took friends of his and photographed them tell him a secret. The purpose of that was to capture each persons expressions as they spilled the secret. At the end of the photo session he chose 10 different pictures, then cut and layered them between acrylic sheets to get what you see below.

 Here is a strange looking digital camera made by IKEA out of cardboard. It was included as part of a press kit at an event in Europe recently, and apparently the “disposable” camera might go on sale sometime in the near future at IKEA. While it is unclear what kinds of pictures this cardboard camera can take (or what crazy Swedish name it has), it is believed IKEA may be looking to sell it in retail stores, PetaPixel reports.

We have all seen the vinyl bowls, but check out these guys love of recycling vinyl. Angelo Bramanti and Giuseppe Siracusa of L017 transform recycled vinyl records into unique works of art. Sometimes artists can see an object and transform it into something that someone might want to put in their homes. Plus, who wouldn't want a vinyl record with their face coming out of it.

I have always found terrariums to be fascinating and a great decor for the home and these two NY based designers Jennica Johnstone and Noah Atkinson have created their own style of terrariums called Mosser. The Mosser ($10.00) is a small glass terrarium filled with a simple round moss ball. The Mosser comes with a glass mister bottle used to feed your plant. They are very easy to care for and only need to be sprayed once every two weeks with filtered water.

Mosser is about capturing simplicity and keeping it alive in one's space. We recognize the need to have something natural at your fingers tips in this day and age.

They are currently on back order due to the press and their stylish terrariums. But if you're willing to wait I'm sure you will be happy you did.

These series is very creative and clever and was created by Patricia Povoa. She ran with the idea of making minimal posters about the most recognizable haircuts of iconic famous people and fictional characters on the planet.  Her minimal style uses great colors and various shapes to identify very quickly who these iconic hairstyles belonged too.  Check out her other series like the My Childhood Heroes series.

How would you feel about owning a Nintendo NES Controller Coffee Table? I know that I would be like Sweet! This custom made table was created by Charles Lushear and let me tell you it is fully functional to get some games on once you remove the glass top. The cord is also fully retractable, so no messy cable issues. This baby is also made from maple, mahogany and walnut with dovetail joinery with mid century modern legs. So you know that it's durable and will take a lot of game play. So if you have $3,500 dollars lying around or you have been saving up money for something cool. Then here you go.

It seems the iPhone gets another sweet music app that the Android lacks, although I'm hoping Swedish Propellerhead (the makers of Reason) will make it for the Android as well. Figure is not your run of the mill beat grid style music app. This app is not only eye popping but it has controls that will make it easy for anyone to make music in minutes. They even have a thorough overview on their site on how to operate Figure and for a .99 cent app. You can't beat this (pun intended).
