Here is a unique building with a cycling track on the roof, which was designed by NL Architects. It has a glass enclosed structure that will accommodate a bicycle rental shop, modern cafe, and a staircase that will provide access to the rooftop velodrome, which has a guide down the sides to bring your bike up the stairs without having to carry it. The Bicycle Club will be constructed in Hainan, China this year and was commissioned by Vanke for a big resort in southern China.
The history of the tea set goes all the way back to about 200 B.C. and over that 2200 years tea sets have had every conceivable shape. This version of the tea service set was designed by Eunjae Lee and it's a simplistic yet elegant tea set.
"A tea service set, Silent Machine, is composed by functional products reflecting aesthetic interpretations on function-focused forms. Every single object can be identified when it is utilized as a part of the whole. Mathematically formulated silhouettes and details contribute to creating an image of mechanical regularity rather than being emphasized on their ornamentation."These vessels are so cylindrical and they look like each element is the same circle that's been extruded with varying diameters and circumferences. The dark grey color also catches my eyes with a soft and relaxing feeling. You can read more about this tea set here.

Timur Salikhov is the branding idealist behind theFire Fighter Vodka branding. I think it's a great concept to make the bottle seem like a new style fire extinguisher, which in my mind they kind of need to make a new style fire extinguisher. The current one is out dated to match that of a modern design.
What I like about this design is the attached shot glass and the stand out choice using a red colored bottle with a polished off top. What do you think of the design choice?

So your still not sure if you want to pick up a GoPro yet? Do you have an iPhone 4/4S? Then a Mophie Outride ($130-$150) might be a better alternative. This rugged, waterproof mount for the iPhone 4/4S keeps your phone protected inside a polycarbonate housing, while a wide angle lens ensures you get the whole picture, and a modular mounting system ensures you'll be able to use it no matter what sport you're in to. You will even be able to share your epic adventures with the application that comes with the Outride.

What a sweet find on this Friday afternoon. The "De Markies" meaning (The Awning) was an entry in the "Temporary Living" competition in 1985 and was conceived as being a mobile home. On the road, it measures 78 in. by 177 in., and once it has arrived at its destination its floorspace can be increased threefold in a matter of seconds. "De Markies" was awarded the Public Prize at the Rotterdam Design Prize in 1996.

Bike enthusiast and designer Izhar Gafni built a functioning bicycle made out of recycled cardboard for about $9 dollars. That is pretty slick if I say so myself. The Cardboard Bicycle can withstand water and humidity, coated with a strong layer of brown and white material, making the finished product look like it is made of hard lightweight plastic and can carry riders weighing up to 485 pounds. The cost to make the bike is around $9-$12 and the manufacturer expects that the cost to the consumer would be around $60-$90 depending on what parts they choose to add on. If you want to know more about the design, watch the video below.

I'm sure a lot of you out there have been enjoying the Olympic's but I have got to say that I'm very disappointed in the branding and graphic design aspect of this years Olympics. So I have found some alternative poster designs for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Hope you enjoy.

This Island Retreat Home is a combination of freestanding structures surrounded by a sheltered central courtyard resting in a saddle above Matiatia Bay. The homes inspiration is to emphasized the form of a natural setting for three roofed structures and freestanding raised pool. The view alone would have me sold.
