Artist Jason D’Aquino hand draws these incredible small illustrations inside of matchbooks. His muse is frequently pop culture itself, with numerous references to horror films, famous artworks, pulp fiction magazine covers, and even human anatomy. I just find it amazing how he gets so much detail in such a small area of space.

Boxee has finally combined the Internet set-top box with a DVR.  The Boxee TV ($100) features two tuners so you can watch one show while you record another, and it works with both a digital antenna and unencrypted cable. It still offers a fluid, good looking UI like the previous versions of Boxee and it gives you access to the online services you want. The biggest feature of this product is there is NO limit to how much you DVR. All your DVR recording are uploaded to the cloud, which means you can access it from anywhere, although it does have a $15 a month subscription fee but it's only available right now in NYC, LA, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Phily and DC to start. So it may be a while before that service is available in your area.

Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects is an Auckland based architectural firm that designed this amazing house in Omaha Beach back in 2007. This home has a view that is just spectacular and could be enjoyable at any point living in this house. Sometimes being able to take your media with you and showing off some cool tech stuff is always a good thing. Roku has come out with a product that does just that, the 3M Streaming Projector ($300). This palm-sized box features a single HDMI input that comes occupied by the company's Streaming Stick, providing it with instant access to Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, HBO Go, and more, anywhere you can find a Wi-Fi hotspot. It's built in projector uses DLP Cinema technology to provide a WVGA picture at sizes up to 120", and with help from a built-in speaker and a rechargeable battery that runs for over 2.5 hours on a single charge, you can create a theater-like experience pretty much anywhere you like.

The Bicymple is a simple unicycle that removes the need for a chain. This working prototype was created by Josh Bechtel and Scalyfish Designs. The design is made of a CroMo Steel frame that is just two simple bars that run above and between the two wheels.

"By removing the chain, the number of moving parts and overall complexity is significantly reduced. A direct-drive, freewheeling hub joins the crank arm axis with the rear-wheel axis, shortening the wheelbase and minimizing the design. "

Here is a bike that I thought about putting in Bikespiration Part 12 but I thought it needed it's own post.  This  Thonet Bike was designed by London-based architect Andy Martin and was designed using bent wood.  The reason behind the name is because Thonet's steam bending process was used to make this bike and was originally developed in the 1930's to make chairs. This bike was one of three developed but this one was chosen due to the aesthetic beauty and modest connection with the heritage of the company. This awesome sculpture was made of resin and recycled computer keys by Babis Cloud and it sure is sweet looking. The piece is titled Hedonism(y) Trojaner, derived from the giant mythological Trojan horse.  I'm just assuming that on some level he refers this horse to the negative aspects of technology (viruses, irrational dependence on computers), but you can read a bit more explanation over on iGNANT.
