Irina Blok took on a challenge of redesigning condom packaging to get out the message of protecting your junk. Here was the challenge:
"We are looking for a Next Generation Condom that significantly preserves or enhances pleasure, in order to improve uptake and regular use. Additional concepts that might increase uptake include attributes that increase ease-of-use for male and female condoms, for example better packaging or designs that are easier to properly apply."She wanted to answer the challenge of reinventing condoms from a graphic design perspective. Perhaps the biggest problem with condoms is the boring packaging, and not the actual product. Creating compelling artwork could encourage people around the world to actually use these." This is how Irina Blok announced to take Bill Gates up on his challenge to design the 'next generation condoms' by redesigning packaging. What do you think?

The Carma Project is a really neat project, sponsored by ad firm Leo Burnett Lisbon. They created a bike with as many reclaimed car parts as possible, watch the video below! They built the bicycle out of scraps from a retired Mercedes hoping that the heavy karma of the car could be re-balanced by riding the same number of kilometers in a greener way: just by cycling.

Philips DesignLine TV ($TBA) decided to get rid of the ever-thinning bezel design of TV's and built a frameless sheet of glass. Thanks to this unusual design, it can lean against a wall, stand up, or be hung on the wall, but it still offers features like integrated Wi-Fi, a Full HD LED panel, 3D Max, Ambilight on three sides, and SimplyShare to easily send photos and videos from your iPad and iPhone to your TV. No word yet on a US release.

What a sweet looking little renovated NYC apartment. This 240-square-foot shoebox with sleeping loft was designed by Brooklyn architect Tim Seggerman, who renovated this Upper West Side brownstone studio into what it is today. His solution was to insert what he calls a “crafted jewel box” into the undersize space, creating an enveloping cabin of blond woods. “It’s basically a piece of woodwork,” says Seggerman. “I’m very proud of that.” There are cabinets of cypress and bamboo; a gently chamfered ash-and-beech staircase; flooring of quartered white oak; a desk of red birch slats that slips out into the living space... And a nook creates a cubby-like library to crawl into.
