For those of you that are always on the go and need a desk or a place to sit for work, then this suitcase is for you.
Boxed is a piece of multi-functional furniture that fits in a suitcase. The pieces can transform into at least four types of furniture. It can be a coffee table, a desk, two stools and a lamp. All of these elements can be extended by the simple introduction of another part to suit the user's need. These parts then all collapse back down to their most basic form, allowing them to be returned to the case that they are stored inside. The design was created by Scottish designer Tyrone Stoddart. If you want to know more about this product check out his

This
"Growler" concept city commuter is just a working sketch prototype in a series of thoughts on what we carry around with us and the importance of those items. They took a Growler from a local pub and set off to design a bike around it. Awesome! With or without the beer, this changed how we view typical beach/city cruisers.

Jesper Brask and his family spent time in this woodsy acre of land in North Zealand, Denmark to know everything about this site before building there summer home. The piney area where the house was to be built was not neglected as it was used in the creation of this summerhouse. This gateway also used steel, bricks, and glass for the dramatic sloping floor to ceiling windows and glass doors that brings the woods almost inside. At the core of the open-plan home is the towering chimney which holds three fireplaces, a conventional oven, and a pizza oven. That's pretty sweet. What do you think of this summer home?

Samsung announced the launch of its new
Samsung ATIV Q tablet that runs both Windows 8 and Android 4.2.2. The 13.3" panel features a 3200 x 1800 resolution (276 PPI). Impressive! Android runs in a VM on top of Windows 8. Networking, storage and CPUs are all virtualized resources. There's even a dedicated key on the keyboard to switch between OS's. The Samsung ATIV Q is powered by a Intel Haswell Core i5 processor, and features include 4GB of DDR3L, a 128GB solid state disk (SSD) and connections for USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and HDMI outputs are provided as well as 720p HD video and lastly a microSD card slot for expansion. Samsung says it'll get up to 9 hours of battery life. No available date for release or a price tag. So the question would be: would this be something that you would want to give you the experience of working on a laptop, but also turning it into a portable Android tablet?
Welcome to Bikespiration 17! In this installation we have some bikes that make the Summer heat not so bad when riding in style. Imagine riding one of these slick bikes around town. The one that really caught my eye this time was the sculptural time trial frame by
English Cycles (see above) that won the 2013 NAHBS Best in Show award, no less. You can see more about this bike on

If you find any bikes out there that you think would be great in Bikespiration series. Please send me an email at pdragon65[@]gmail.com.

OYO- Open Y Office created this beautiful home in Wijgmaal, Belguim last year. A single family home is conceived as a place without boundaries. It was constructed of a steel structure which gives this a open floor plan. OYO chose to go with a minimalistic approach, omitting fancy details so there is no need for ornaments. This and others choices result in a low budget home that sticks perfectly to the basic idea of living, functioning very open minded. See more images at

These creative and innovative billboards were designed by
Ogilvy & Mather for
IBM but there also useful ideas for other functions like a bench, luggage ramps and rain shelters. Not only do these billboards promote IBM's brand but they add functional outdoor furniture to different cities all over the world. This is what you would call clever
advertising with a purpose.
