Timur Salikhov is the branding idealist behind theFire Fighter Vodka branding. I think it's a great concept to make the bottle seem like a new style fire extinguisher, which in my mind they kind of need to make a new style fire extinguisher. The current one is out dated to match that of a modern design.

What I like about this design is the attached shot glass and the stand out choice using a red colored bottle with a polished off top.  What do you think of the design choice?

What a sweet find on this Friday afternoon.  The "De Markies" meaning (The Awning) was an entry in the "Temporary Living" competition in 1985 and was conceived as being a mobile home. On the road, it measures 78 in. by 177 in., and once it has arrived at its destination its floorspace can be increased threefold in a matter of seconds. "De Markies" was awarded the Public Prize at the Rotterdam Design Prize in 1996.

Bike enthusiast and designer Izhar Gafni built a functioning bicycle made out of recycled cardboard for about $9 dollars. That is pretty slick if I say so myself. The Cardboard Bicycle can withstand water and humidity, coated with a strong layer of brown and white material, making the finished product look like it is made of hard lightweight plastic and can carry riders weighing up to 485 pounds. The cost to make the bike is around $9-$12 and the manufacturer expects that the cost to the consumer would be around $60-$90 depending on what parts they choose to add on. Tracklist

This Island Retreat Home is a combination of freestanding structures surrounded by a sheltered central courtyard resting in a saddle above Matiatia Bay. The homes inspiration is to emphasized the form of a natural setting for three roofed structures and freestanding raised pool. The view alone would have me sold.

Stuart Langfield is the creator behind the official music video for Julien Mier's “Watercolour Sky,” from his upcoming EP, When Will You Wake Up, that comes out on August 6th. This video takes a trippy cinematic journey through the countryside of Squamish, British Columbia where a man awakens to a world full of origami animals. Check out the video, I think you will find the ending quite interesting.

Denmark-based design agency Scandinavian DesignLab took on the task of creating a branding scheme for Copenhagen-based fashion store PARISTEXAS with a most unusual series of designs that merge bugs with musical instruments.

"The assignment involved creating an identity that breaks with the traditional thinking behind identities and by extension supports a sense of unique, international exclusivity and underground style."

These are seriously a way of creating an identity that breaks the traditional thinking.  Identity and uniqueness comes to my mind when I see the current branding and font selections.  You can read more about it on their website.
